continuous four roll peeler-washer
which can be fitted with any
combination of brushes and/or abrasive rolls for peeling, brush
washing, scrubbing, or finishing (e.g. finishing in combination
with another
peeler or steam peeler) of fruits and vegetables such as potatoes,
beets, carrots, onions, cucumbers, pickles, apples, oranges and others.
OPERATION:
Raw product is continuously fed to the peeling chamber and subjected to
the spinning rolls (abrasive and / or brush rollers as the case may
be). It is important that a sufficient amount of product be kept in the
peeling chamber during operation for best results. Lubricating and
rinsing action are provided in the chamber by overhead sprays, while
the flow of product through the machine is regulated both by a weighted
discharge door, and the inclination of the machine.
